Serotonin is a very important chemical neurotransmitter in our body. It helps with the functions of the brain as well as the organs which are interconnected with it. If however, you are the type who does not like taking medicine, you can also find a lot of food sources which are rich in tryptophan such as eggs, milk and meat products.

Serotonin supplements like any other drug, should not be taken without consulting a doctor to determine if you really need one. An abnormal increase in serotonin which could be equally as dangerous to its deficiency in your body as well.
