Diseases and certain medical conditions can also cause you back pain, such as arthritis, spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal column, creating unwanted pressure to the cord and nearby nerves), tumors, pregnancy, infections, fibromyalgia, and endometriosis.

How to Relieve Back Pain: Tips and Guidelines

There are many ways to help your body get relief from back pain, and the methods can be different according to your symptoms and the degree of the pain itself. You can begin by limiting the time spent on the bed. It may sound odd, but the ones who are active tend to have less back pain than those who rest more, as that will make you feel more pain instead. So get up and get some work done!

Limiting rest is one thing, but sleep is important too! As we spend close to a quarter of the day sleeping, it is essential that you do so in a good posture to protect the spine and prevent you from having back pain.  If you are a back sleeper, put pillows underneath your knees to ease off the spine from enormous pressure, while a side sleeper should hug the pillows with their legs to keep the spine in a neutral position. Working out is vital when it comes to your spine. By strengthening the core muscles and having a flexible body, you are less likely to put unwanted strain on your spine.

While you are being active, it is important to keep a good posture as a lifetime habit. Keeping and maintaining a good curvature of your spine will take the pressure off and prevent you from back pain. A poor one will only put the strain on your back unnecessarily. The pain you have been suffering may not from the strenuous day you had yesterday, but the accumulation of pressure to the spine over the years.
